Pregnancy Classes

Ara pregnancy classes are designed to help you stay strong and mobile throughout pregnancy and set you up for a great recovery.

These classes include circuit or flow based formats incorporating active mobility, PNF and passive stretching. From my experience personally and with clients, a combination of active mobility and passive stretching works beautifully for creating strength, stability and flexibility in the body throughout pregnancy. 

Our pregnancy strength classes use body weight exercises to help you maintain and build strength and endurance throughout your pregnancy. These are quick, full body, circuit based classes, with little or no equipment required. Classes are safe for all stages of pregnancy, with plenty of options provided for differen levels.

This class is designed to safely strengthen and protect your core throughout pregnancy. I will guide you through exercises that support your growing bump, maintain core strength, and help prepare your body for birth. Maintaining core strength in pregnancy can help alleviate common discomforts like back and hip pain, and sets you up for a great recovery postpartum. 

Explore alternative ways to move, these classes include styles such as locomotion or animal movement, creative movement patterns and drills that look a little like dance, yoga, mobility and capoeira combined. These classes can help bring fluid and joyful movement into your practice at a time when your body can feel weighed down and foreign. I provide modifications for all stages of pregnancy.
