Meet Anna
Hi, I'm Anna Rutherford - registered nurse, paramedic, and certified pregnancy & postpartum coach based in Australia.
I’m also a mum of two (soon to be 3!), and I know firsthand how hard it can be to navigate pregnancy and postpartum when you care about your training.
During my first pregnancy, I felt completely unsure what was safe. I wanted to stay active but didn’t know how, and nobody was talking about strength training, core recovery, or pelvic floor in a way that actually made sense for someone who already trained.
Second time around, 11 years later, I did things very differently. With a solid foundation in movement and years of professional experience, I trained with purpose, understood my body, and had a clear plan for recovery after birth.
That’s why I created Ara, to give other women the expert guidance I wish I’d had. If you’ve ever felt unsure about how to keep training through pregnancy, or how to return to it postpartum, you’re in the right place.
